Founder, Partner, Creative Director
Craig is the founder and creative director of Ste. Marie, a creative consultancy, and design studio with offices in Vancouver and Toronto. Known for its distinctive approach to concept-driven design, the studio works globally across hospitality, residential, and retail sectors, partnering with leading developers, restaurateurs, and hoteliers to create immersive, experience-led spaces.
Ste. Marie first gained recognition for its memorable and culturally resonant restaurant projects, which helped redefine the hospitality landscape and established the studio’s reputation for narrative-rich, emotionally engaging environments. This early success includes acclaimed concepts such as Kissa Tanto, St Lawrence, Como Taperia & Botanist at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, and others that became touchstones in their respective markets.
Craig has also directed the strategy and co-owns several notable restaurant ventures, including Osteria Savio Volpe as well as Pepino’s Spaghetti House, Café La Tana, and most recently, Elio Volpe.
Under Craig’s leadership, Ste. Marie has expanded its reach with projects now spanning North America, Europe, and beyond. The studio’s work has been nominated, shortlisted, and awarded internationally for excellence in hospitality, residential, and retail design.
Twice named to Vancouver Magazine’s Power 50 list, Craig is recognized not only for his creative leadership but also for his ability to guide clients through the evolving terrain of the built environment, where design, culture, and commerce converge. His current focus is on shaping experiential, multi-platform destinations that connect meaningfully with people and place.
