A discerning and strategic marketer with more than 20 years of experience, Elizabeth Harlow leads Marketing and Brand Development teams for Sonesta International Hotels Corporation, the fastest growing hotel company in the United States. At Sonesta, Ms. Harlow was the architect for the brand positioning of 17 brands, and the launch of a brand-wide loyalty program. Leading a high-performing team, and with best-in-class partners, Ms. Harlow continues to spearhead Sonesta’s strategic brand platform with extensive research and a customer-first approach. Her work has garnered top industry and consumer media attention and contributed to Sonesta’s $2B business and outlook for continued growth.
Known as a savvy lifestyle and luxury hospitality executive with her finger on the pulse of hospitality, F&B and entertainment, Ms. Harlow has forged a career at independent hospitality companies and Fortune 500 travel and real estate development organizations alike. She is a results-driven leader with an eye for talent, an organizational change-maker with impeccable branding expertise, and a passionate executive who consistently drives top-line revenue and profits.
Prior to her role at Sonesta, Ms. Harlow was the Vice President of Brand Marketing for the Howard Hughes Corporation, where her wins included partner development, community integration, and double-digit percentage growth in customer conversion and record-breaking ROAS. Ms. Harlow also had considerable success as Vice President, Brand Strategy, at MGM Resorts International, where she oversaw brand strategy for one of the world’s most recognizable brands, Bellagio, and was selected as brand leader to launch MGM’s “development” brand, Park MGM.
Other success stories in Ms. Harlow’s career include her work as the Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing at Loews Hotels & Resorts, as the Senior Director, Brand Marketing, at The Leading Hotels of the World, and as Director, Brand Management, for Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Ms. Harlow has also worked as an Executive Brand Strategist for Heritage Consulting, a female-, minority-owned business, and as a Marketing Manager for The Leading Hotels of the World.
Ms. Harlow holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics, with a Marketing Concentration, from Richmond University in London, England. She has served as a volunteer for the Las Vegas Rescue Mission, Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless, and for the All Stars Project, where she served as a mentor. Ms. Harlow divides her time between Boston and the Catskills region of New York.
