Guillaume journey in the hospitality industry commenced at the esteemed Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, followed by experiences with 3 Michelin Star Chef Paul Bocuse, Four Seasons and Mandarin Oriental, laying the foundation for his future success. Early in his career, he demonstrated a keen ability to elevate guest experiences, a trait that would become a hallmark of his leadership style.
Guillaume’s journey with The Ritz-Carlton began in 2012 with the opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Montreal. Under his leadership, the hotel achieved Quebec’s first-ever 5-Diamond rating and was recognized as the best hotel in Canada by Travel and Leisure magazine. He then moved to Geneva, Switzerland, in 2015 where he transformed The Ritz-Carlton, Hôtel de la Paix Geneva, successfully rebranding and positioning it in the Geneva market. In 2015, Guillaume returned to North America to lead The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples, Florida, revitalizing it to become the top resort in ITR for the brand in the US. Four years ago, he brought his wealth of experience and creativity to The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto, maintaining its 5-Star Forbes rating and securing its place among the top 500 hotels in the world by Travel & Leisure. His leadership and creativity consistently positioned the hotels he managed in the top three of their continents for the brand in ITR, driving operational excellence and fostering long-term relationships with local partners and brand influencers. He was recognized as one of the GM of the year for the Luxury brands of Marriott hotel worldwide and won the 2023 hotel of the year award in US & Canada for Marriott luxury hotels.
