Gwen Mills

International President, UNITE HERE

Gwen grew up in New Haven and joined the union as a community organizer in her hometown, where UNITE HERE represents hospitality workers on Yale's campus and in the surrounding city. Her experiences growing up and organizing her community taught her the power of a good job, and she later became a political organizer, the union's Secretary-Treasurer, and in 2024 became the first woman to be elected as the union's International President.
