As a true multi-disciplinary artist and designer, Mary Alice’s career trajectory has soared across creative categories, having worked diligently within the architecture, fashion, and film industries before landing in the world of luxury interior design. An inherent interest in art, design, and culture, bestowed upon Mary Alice through extensive travel in her adolescent years, coupled with the influence of her father – a fellow architecture and design enthusiast who resided in John Lautner’s renowned Schaffer Residence – equipped Mary Alice with a uniquely imaginative perspective that defines her ability to tell stories through great design.

Driven by an insatiable curiosity, Mary Alice harnesses an entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to create immersive and sensory-driven destinations – a perspective that has carried through her career, coalescing into her role as Global Creative Director and Founding Partner of ROAM Interior Design, a newly established hospitality interior design firm. As the leading creative force within the practice, Mary Alice exudes her remarkable ability to craft unique stories and translate her design philosophy in an authentic manner, delivering creative solutions underscored by meaningful innovation and held together through a striking narrative.

Mary Alice’s portfolio spans international waters and continents, each location offering an imaginatively unforgettable experience and unique story, reflected in every design detail and enhanced by nature, history, and folklore to develop a truly rare sense of place. Notable projects span across boutique and luxury works such as Hotel Saint George in Marfa Texas, Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort in the Dominican Republic, Bishops Lodge, Santa Fe and Esperanza, Los Cabos, which received the coveted Golden Key Award.
