Monika Nerger is a seasoned global technology executive with a track record of driving innovation, digital transformation, and business growth across the luxury hospitality, casino, and cruise line industries. With international experience spanning Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East, she brings a strategic, customer-centric approach to leveraging technology for competitive advantage.

Most recently, Monika served as Global Chief Information Officer at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, where she led enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, implemented an AI framework, and strengthened cybersecurity resilience. Her leadership was instrumental in implementing a comprehensive IT & Digital strategy that aligned with the company’s luxury service objectives while addressing evolving technological and security challenges.

Prior to Mandarin Oriental, she held leadership and consulting roles with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, KPMG, and Advanced BusinessLink, deepening her expertise in enterprise systems and customer-facing technologies, with a strong focus on innovation, cybersecurity, and governance in complex global environments navigating evolving regulatory landscapes.

Recognized as a thought leader in hospitality technology, Monika was inducted into the International Hospitality Hall of Fame in 2017. She is the past President of HTNG (Hospitality Technology Next Generation) and serves on several industry and advisory boards, including HTNG/T100, Gaming & Leisure, and CHTA (China Hotel Technology Alliance). Additionally, she provides strategic guidance to emerging travel technology startups and advises private equity and investment funds focused on innovation in the travel and hospitality sectors.

In December 2025, Monika joined Destination AI as a Board Advisor, providing guidance for the 2026 summit and contributing to a strong platform for hoteliers, technologists, and innovators shaping the next era of AI in hospitality.
