Ryan Rivett is a charismatic leader and engaged entrepreneur in the hospitality industry. At the helm of a vertically
integrated organization encompassing more than 40 companies and more than 600 employees, Ryan’s scope of
responsibility as a corporate executive, real estate developer, asset owner, general contractor, and hospitality
professional is the foundation of his dynamic approach and perspective to business and hospitality.
Most significantly, Ryan is the Co-founder, President & CEO of My Place Hotel of America, the
franchise brand of My Place Hotels. Since founding My Place Hotels in 2012, the chain has
grown under Ryan’s leadership to more than 120 franchises supported by a robust franchise
operations platform and dedicated leadership team. The tremendous initial growth and
success of the franchise system earned My Place recognition as Inc. Magazine’s fastest growing
hotel company of 2020, and greater regard by the systems franchisees and operators.
If asked, Ryan fundamentally describes his approach to business as a builder. As Co-founder
and CEO of Legacy Builders, Ryan maintains an active role in the operations of the nation-wide
general contracting firm f ocused p rimarily o n h ospitality c onstruction w ith a successfully
completed roster of more than 100 projects, valued at more than $400M. Ryan’s passion for
building and expertise in the full horizon of hotel development has been instrumental in
Legacy Builders’ success since 2007.
Ryan is also the President & CEO of Legacy Management, a professional hotel management
company currently operating 25 hotels across the country. With Ryan’s people-focused
leadership style and orientation to developing consistency in all facets of business
operations, the team at Legacy Management has built a reputation for innovating to produce
consistent results.
Ryan’s expertise and willingness to collaborate as thought leader, innovator and fiduciary
has led to his participation in several corporate and foundation boards, as well as a municipal
commissions and philanthropic organizations. Most notably Ryan currently serves on
the Board of Trustees for the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) Foundation.
Surrounding business, Ryan is a proud father of four children ages 11-17. Ryan and the Rivett crew love to travel and
most enjoy snow-skiing, hunting, fishing and just about any other adventure that takes them to new places and new
experiences. By his closest friends and colleagues Ryan is regarded as a motivator, problem solver, educator, and
reliable source for a good time.
