Managing Director, RTRX

Suraj is responsible for overseeing the strategic vision and direction of RTRX, a movement priming optimists for action. Founded in 2012, RTRX’s mission is to prime optimists for action though a focus on leadership, innovation and well-being. It’s annual experience is held the first week of August in Columbus, Ohio, adjacent to Pelotonia’s Ride Weekend and brings thousands of industry leaders, bold entrepreneurs, and other forward-thinkers together at the intersection of leadership and innovation. Attendees are inspired by world-class speakers, and connect, learn and collaborate to advance team culture, grow leadership skills, and unlock new business opportunities – all while benefiting innovative cancer research. To date, RTRX has invested more than $7MM into innovative cancer research.

Additionally, Suraj serves as the Director of Community Engagement and Social Impact at Rockbridge, a private investment and development firm with more than 25 years in business focused consistently on cultivating value and enriching lives. In this role, he drives the firm’s community investment and public affairs strategy throughout the nation.

Prior to joining RTRX, Suraj served as the Special Assistant to Alex R. Fischer, the former President and CEO at the Columbus Partnership, a membership-based CEO organization of more than 80 CEOs from Columbus’ leading businesses and institutions.

Suraj is a member of NEXUS Global and currently serves on the board of My Special Word, Untapped Good, and as the Chair of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Young Professionals Council. He also recently served as Fellow for the Culturati Summit based in Austin, Texas. Suraj received the Columbus Business First 40 under 40 award in April 2023.

Outside of the office, Suraj enjoys drinking more coffee than one should consume, traveling, finding new restaurants and coffee shops, being with friends and family, reading, and spending time on his bike. Suraj graduated from The Ohio State University in 2014 with a degree in special education and minors in leadership studies and philosophy.

While at Ohio State, he was a member of the 107th class of the SPHINX Senior Honorary, recipient of the University’s Outstanding Senior Award, and worked in the Office of the President under former President E. Gordon Gee and former interim President Joseph A. Alutto, served as an Orientation Leader, University Tour Guide, and as the President of BuckeyeThon, one of the nation’s largest student-run philanthropic organizations. BuckeyeThon raises funds and awareness for the Hematology, Oncology and Bone & Marrow Transplant Unit at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. To date, the organization has raised and invested more than $13MM for kids fighting cancer and blood related disorders at Nationwide Children’s.
