Joli Barfield is a dedicated hospitality professional with a unique blend of educational expertise and operational acumen working as the Cluster Director of Learning for Montage International at Pendry Manhattan West and Pendry Natirar locations. After graduating with a degree in History and Education, Joli took an untraditional route into luxury hotels and spent 15+ years in hotel operations, gaining much respect for various disciplines in hospitality. Her previous employment consists of mid to senior level leadership roles with Starwood, Marriott, Union Square Hospitality Group, and time at the iconic Gramercy Park Hotel. Joli co-founded New York City Women of Hospitality-- a growing community of women and allies that fosters growth, education, networking, and professional development in the greater NYC area.
As Cluster Director of Learning, she holds an HR certificate in SHRM-CP, Training and Facilitation Certificate from Association for Talent Development, Master Trainer for Talent Plus, and Six Sigma Green Belt certification demonstrating her proficiency in HR management and process improvement. Joli is the lead trainer at her property using her extensive knowledge of service culture training and Forbes standards to teach and train associates while championing their growth and development in the industry.
